How To Import Amazon Products Without API Using Content Egg Amazon No API Module?

Amazon Associates API access is important because it allows website integration with Amazon databases. This means that you can show information about products that sell on Amazon on your site.

WordPress themes, plugins, and other tools can utilize Amazon’s Application Programming Interface (API). It allows them to retrieve Amazon product specs, images, product information, and other relevant content.

So you can see how Amazon API access can be useful. But Amazon doesn’t grant API access to new Amazon associates accounts.

Amazon used to give unlimited API access to all Amazon Associate accounts in good standing. In January 2019, Amazon started imposing restrictions and limitations.

New Amazon Affiliate accounts can no longer get immediate API access. They have to wait until they’ve made at least three sales or more and have their website information verified before they can get access to API.

API access can also be revoked or limited. Amazon Associates must have qualified sales within the last thirty days credited to API links to keep API access and avoid becoming either limited (throttled) or possibly revoked.

January 23, 2019, was the first day that Amazon started imposing usage limits. Account limits are subsequently determined according to associate account revenue performance based on Product Advertising API requests within the last 30 days.

Amazon also blocks bots, which makes scraping an unstable option. These and other reasons are why website owners are looking for ways to use API even when they don’t have access.

So how can you use Amazon API benefits if you don’t have access? There is a solution in the form of a Content Egg Amazon No API Module.

Why Is API So Important?

Amazon affiliates can earn affiliate commissions without using any Amazon affiliate plugin. While a plugin can make many tasks easier, it is not necessary. You can add an affiliate link with your unique affiliate tag directly into your blog posts content.

However, if you want to show additional information like images, specifications, and prices to site visitors, you cant add them to your site.

To comply with Amazon Associate terms, you need to pull dynamic content using an API request. And that’s where plugins and Amazon API come in handy.

Prices, content, and product images can be retrieved and regularly updated automatically by Amazon affiliate plugins. You can even make it easier for customers to choose the items that best meet their needs by providing feature tables and comparison charts that you can create using these kinds of plugins.

You can make more money and improve your click-through rates (CTR) by providing tables that are easy to understand and have the most current prices and item ratings.

Amazon affiliate plugins with API access are beneficial because of these reasons:

  • Show always updated Amazon product images and prices.
  • Display comparison charts and feature boxes to showcase products.

The plugin isn’t required if you only want to add Amazon affiliate links. Affiliate plugins are helpful for those who want to show product tables and other relevant information. Content Egg is a great plugin that supports many affiliate networks, including Amazon. It helps affiliates increase revenue.

Content Egg Amazon No API Module

Product Advertising API key is mandatory for the majority of Amazon affiliate WordPress plugins. That key can be created from the Amazon Associates account owned by the specific user.

API access is only given to those who have an active Amazon Associates account. You can apply for an Amazon Associates account at any time. It doesn’t matter if your site is new or old. The bad news is that you must generate at least 3 affiliate sales in 180 days (6 months) to get API access.

There are not many Amazon affiliate plugins without API option. You will find several plugins that help users display Amazon products and increase affiliate clicks. But in most cases, they require API to operate.

Without the API, you rely on affiliate links you manually grab from the Amazon product sales pages. You also lose the benefits that the API offers. Thankfully, Content Egg offers both No API module for those who don’t have API access and API module.

No API module has only a few setting options, but all important settings are here. Most significant is that it only supports US, UK, ES, IT, IN, DE, FR, and CA locales. The process of adding products to the website is the same as with the Amazon module with API.

What Are Alternatives To Amazon API?

Most affiliate sites use Amazon Associates to earn commissions. Amazon is very popular, and redirecting visitors to Amazon converts well. The Product Advertising API provides programmatic access to Amazon’s product selection and discovery functionality so that users can add Amazon products directly into the site.

Using API, you can access millions of products, including product search and look-up capability, and add product information and features.

But how can users that don’t have API access achieve this? There are four options that Content Egg has made available, and none of them mandate API keys. They can be used to help you eventually receive API access by increasing sales and revenue.

The alternatives are listed below:

  1. Amazon No API Module, which I have discussed in this post.
  2. You can use the Affiliate Egg plugin with Content Egg. Affiliate Egg plugin uses direct parsing without API. This means you can use direct links from Amazon as keyword to import products. You can use Affiliate Egg solely or in combination with CE.
  3. You can use the Content Egg Viglink module and search by URL feature. This will provide the option to add your Amazon Tag ID in deeplink settings.
  4. The Offer module is a good option if you want to add links manually to your product list.
  5. The are also other Amazon WordPress affiliate plugins that don’t require API like WooZone and AmaLinks.

Affiliates can definitely benefit from using Content Egg. Even if you don’t currently have access to Amazon API, Content Egg it’s a great Amazon affiliate WordPress plugin without API, which will help grow your business and increase revenue.
