KWFinder Review PROS and CONS (2019) | KWFinder vs Keyword Revealer Comparison

Keywords are an important part of search engine optimization. Every search engine optimized web page uses targeted keywords. Those keywords are essential for Google and other popular search engines. Keywords help search engines determine what each web page is about and based on them suggested in relevant search results.

They tell search engines what a particular website is all about, and help to drive traffic to those web pages organically.

If you’re interested in improving your search engine optimization, one of the best things you can do is to research keywords related to your industry or niche. To succeed at this task, you’ll need to know the following information:

  • What keywords are already being searched?
  • How many people search for the keywords that you want to use?
  • How hard it is for each keyword to rank?

Knowing the answers to these and other related questions can help you select the right keywords for your site. Your keywords need to relate to your website and the niche that you want to reach.

The ultimate solution for finding low competition and high volume traffic keywords is by using a tool such as KWFinder.

KWFinder Review

KWFinder is a popular keyword search tool created by Mangools. Besides KWFinder, there are a few other tools in the set, including:

  • LinkMiner (used to analyze backlinks)
  • SERPChecker (a rank tracking tool)
  • SERPWatcher (used to analyze localized SERP results)
  • SiteProfiler (used to analyze competitors’ traffic)

These helpful features are combined into a single package that is very affordable in comparison to other popular search engine optimization tools.

mangools review

Mangools tools focus is on simplicity, and that makes it stand out above the crowd. KWFinder’s clean, impressive interface, lets you find keyword difficulty scores easily. It also offers some interesting research functions that you won’t find with competitors.

KWFinder provides a lot of information for every keyword that you research. You can determine whether or not you want to rank for a particular keyword according to pay per click, cost per click, ranking difficulty, search volume, and other relevant data.

Using this tool to search keywords gives you a better understanding of each keyword’s landscape. Without using such a tool, you might not know a keyword’s difficulty ranking, whether or not your intended keywords relate to your niche or what is the keyword’s search volume.

kwfinder keyword difficulty score
You will be able to see difficulty score for each keyword.

KWFinder provides enough information so that you can make an informed decision about what keywords are the best ones to use for your business.

While you’re using KWFinder for searching a particular keyword, you can find other keywords that are either more highly searched or more relevant. You can use the tool to analyze each keyword’s difficulty ranking. This information can be used to determine how likely your website will rank as a result of using that keyword.

You can learn who your competitors are for each keyword that you research, and also discover other keywords that they are ranking. You can also refine your keyword searches by language and location to receive the most targeted results.

Who Can Benefit From KWFinder?

KWFinder can help you get the most out of your search engine optimization strategies. It’s perfect for people who are already ranking for keywords that they want to use, for users who wish to find new keywords that competitors haven’t used, learn about advertising costs associated with using certain keywords and for those who want to search for keywords for their particular business or niche.

keywords you rank for from website dashboard

The tool makes keyword research simple. Just enter a keyword and use the resulting data to make informed decisions. KWFinder provides real-time information for search engine optimization results and terms.

This is very helpful for business owners who want to make data-lead decisions on what keywords to use based on both their relevance to niche and whether or not their difficulty level is achievable.

Why Is Keyword Difficulty Important?

The goal is to find relevant keywords that don’t have much competition and appear more frequently in search engine searches. That’s why it’s essential only to use keywords that are relevant to your company, niche, industry, your products, and services.

KWFinder will show you the monthly keyword search data for every keyword that you enter. You’ll know whether or not the keyword is actually being searched for, and if so, you can see how many times it’s searched for each month.

You can use this information to decide which keywords to target, based on their search results and keyword difficulty scores.

finding low competition keywords wordpress

The ability to know a keyword’s difficulty score in a single click is one of the most in-demand features for keyword search tools. The score shows the ease or difficulty of that particular keyword phrase’s ability to rank on the first page of Google.

Keep in mind the fact that this score can vary, depending on the keyword search tool that you use.

How KWFinder Works?

KWFinder uses Majestic and Moz data to analyze a difficulty score for any keyword that you enter. It also helps you to put that data in perspective. Once you’ve signed up for a free 10-day trial account, you can go directly to the app to start searching for keywords.

You will see two tabs above the search box – Search by Keyword and Search by Domain.

– Search By Keyword – Most standard keyword research tools will require you to enter a specific keyword into the keyword tool to receive hundreds of keyword suggestions. This is an excellent way to brainstorm for possible keywords for your website.

It can also help you learn who your competitors are, and give you a general idea of what keywords may fit your particular niche.

search by domain kwfinder
You can perform searches using keyword or domain URL.

– Search By Domain – This option is competitor based. You reverse-engineer the process by entering the URL of a competitor’s website instead of entering a specific keyword in the search bar. This type of search shows you what keywords your competitors are using to rank.

Multiple Research Options

There are three research options that can be used. Those are related keywords, autocomplete, and questions:

kwfinder research options
You can see search results in form of related keywords, autocomplete or questions.

  • Autocomplete – This option uses Google’s autosuggest feature to show keywords. These are the suggestions you usually see when you’re typing in Google’s search box.
  • Questions – This feature is helpful when adding prefixes to your seed keywords. You will then see information based keywords that relate to what you’ve entered in the form of questions.
  • Related Keywords – The standard default search option that most people use. It finds keywords using Google’s KW planner. Its internal algorithms are used in sorting search results.

Performing Keyword Research Using KWFinder

Using KWFinder to search for keywords will also display results for other similar keywords that may be applicable. This function can be extremely helpful. Just when you think you’ve found the right keyword, you’ll receive information on other keywords that may be just as or more relevant than the one you had in mind.

Some of them will have larger monthly search volumes or less challenging to rank. Small, subtle differences in keyword spelling and/or phrasing can sometimes affect their difficulty score and ranking, so pay attention to other keywords that are similar to the one you’re focused on.

Take the time to examine the list of suggested keywords that you receive carefully. There may be some alternative that you previously didn’t consider, which are a far better fit.

kwfinder keyword research metrics

After you get the keyword suggestions based upon your seed keyword, you’ll see that each keyword is broken down into the following metrics:

  • CPC – Average cost per click in Google Ads for that keyword
  • PPC – Shows the competition level in Google Ads
  • Monthly search volume – This shows the current monthly searches for that keyword on Google
  • Keyword difficulty score – You’ll see an aggregate score that shows how easy or how difficult the keyword is to rank on the first page of Google search results based on KWFinder internal algorithm
  • Trend – Here you can see how searches for that keyword have varied over the last 12 months

Click on the “Filter” button if you want to refine your results further. You can fine-tune the data that you received. However, you see fit.

filter search results kwfinder
You can filter search results based on search volume, PPC, included or excluded keywords, CPC, keyword difficulty, and number of words.

Clicking on any of the keywords will display more information about them on the right-hand side of your screen. This is one of the most important features that this tool offers. It breaks down the data based on the top ten pages that rank for that keyword in search results (you can also see results below those first ten results).

kwfinder serp overview

Here are the metrics used in evaluating the top pages:

  • DA (Domain Authority) – Information from Moz that shows the value of the domain as a whole, according to Moz factors.
  • PA (Page Authority) – Also, from Moz, this data shows the value of the particular page as a whole. This information doesn’t take the other pages on that site into consideration.
  • TF (Trust Flow) – A component of the Majestic link oriented metric that shows the quality of that page’s outbound links. If the page links are to reputable pages that are seen as authorities on a particular subject or niche, the numeric score will be higher.
  • CF (Citation Flow) – Also, Majestic metric oriented on URL link quantity based on how many sites link to it.
  • Links – This data shows you how many backlinks a particular page has.
  • FB Shares – Here, you can see how many times the page was shared on Facebook.
  • LPS (Link Profile Strength) – Mangools created this algorithm, which calculates an aggregate score for a particular page’s backlink profile. Generally speaking, the higher this score is, the harder it will be to beat the page from its current ranking.
  • EV (Estimated Visits) – This shows you how many organic visits a site receives monthly for that keyword.

You can use all of this information to get a good idea of a keyword’s difficulty score. Clicking on the three-button icon provides even further data breakdowns. You can evaluate the URL according to other keywords that it ranks for, review its backlinks, and analyze other metrics.

kwfinder features
if you click the three-button icon you are able to see more data like URL profile (SiteProfiler), backlinks (LinkMiner), and keywords.

Clicking on any of these options will redirect you to the proper Mangools app to handle your request. You can also choose to analyze all of the top pages in SERPs for the keyword you’ve selected.

KWFinder uses a kind of “credit” system to limit the number of data requests that each user can make. This is unique, but it does make sense, especially when you think about how excessive requests can put a considerable strain on resources and also increases costs in the process.

kwfinder limits
Because KWFinder has various limits in a form of “credits” depending on which plan you purchase, you could see this message from time to time.

Because of that, depending on which pricing plan you purchase, you will have certain limits in keyword lookups, keyword suggestions search, competitor keyword search, SERP lookups, tracked daily keywords, site lookups, and backlink rows. The limits reset after 24 hours.

The biggest disadvantage with these limits is when it comes to how many keywords results you will receive (capped keywords). Depending on your plan, results are capped at either 200 or 700 keyword results. I found this to be limiting, especially when similar products like Keyword Revealer don’t have any limits in that aspect and offer far more results for identical keyword searches.

Besides the keywords results being capped, the limitations also apply to any keywords that you import into the tool.

There is also a multi-tabbed keyword research issue. Typical keyword research involves entering seed keywords and using the resulting suggested keywords to find alternatives. KWFinder gives users the ability to begin new searches based on any keyword suggestion that they want.

However, you can’t open a new window or tab to start these searches. Instead, the tool replaces your current suggestions. Being unable to toggle back and forth between tabs without losing what you’ve already entered is inefficient. KWFinder requires users to choose a single path. It doesn’t have a multi-task approach.

Saving Keywords Using Lists

Frequent KWFinder users will want to organize their keyword research for later use. It can be rather annoying having to enter the same search query each time you use the tool, especially when you remember that the KWFinder limits your number of keyword searches.

kwfinder lists
You can create lists and save keywords.

It’s a good idea to save them in keyword lists so that you don’t forget or lose them. You can do this by going to the results page and clicking on the checkbox next to keywords that you want to put in a list.

kwfinder save keywords

When you’re done with your selections, click on the “Add to List” option at the bottom. You can also add to the list by clicking the star icon next to keywords.

History Page

Checking the History page allows you to see what you’ve searched in the past. Choose the History option from the menu to review your previous keyword searches.

Import Keywords

Besides using the tool to find new keywords, you can also import keywords that you want KWFinder to evaluate for you. For instance, if you’re already using Google Keyword Planner or similar tools to brainstorm keyword ideas, you can export that list in either TXT or CSV format and then import that data into KWFinder.

import keywords kwfinder

This allows you to see more keyword suggestions that you can then review using the KWFinder metrics. You can also copy and paste the keywords to the text bar.

KWFinder Pros and Cons

Here are the advantages and disadvantages of using KWFinder as your keyword research tool:

ADVANTAGES

  • Lightweight and fast – KWFinder loads keyword suggestions and information incredibly fast! There’s no lag time. You won’t have any problem getting results quickly.
  • Ease of use – This tool makes finding keywords simple. It is straightforward to use, no matter what your level of expertise is. The intuitive interface ensures that navigation and keyword searches go smoothly.
  • Diverse search engine optimization metrics – KWFinder pulls information from Moz, Majestic, and some others in addition to its own Link Profile Strength feature. You don’t have to subscribe to these services separately, because KWFinder provides data already.
  • Allows multiple logins – You and your team can use KWFinder and other apps created by Mangools simultaneously, as long as you have the Premium or Agency plan. This can help create a smoother workflow and speed up the keyword search process.
  • It’s a web-based application, so you don’t have to install anything. You just need an internet connection.
  • Five tools in one – You don’t get just KWFinder but also SERPChecker, LinkMiner, SiteProfiler, and SERPWatcher.
  • Ten-day free limited trial option (unfortunately it is very limited)
  • You can filter results and save keywords

DISADVANTAGES

  • It doesn’t support multi-tabbed keyword research.
  • You can’t customize the SERPChecker preview.
  • Your keywords results are limited. Keyword searches are limited, no matter which package you purchase.
  • The pricing plans are not for every pocket.
  • Only two days money-back-guarantee

KWFinder Pricing

As of July 2019, you can try all of the different Mangools tools free of charge for ten days. You can sign up for your free trial without having to provide any credit card information. This is a nice improvement over their previous free trial, which limited you to a certain number of keyword searches per day.

Pricing plans for the Mangools suite can be purchased as annual or monthly plans. The three service tiers for this tool are “Basic,” “Premium,” and “Agency.” You’ll still get everything, no matter what tier you sign up for. The only real difference in the plans is what your limits will be when performing searches and other activities.

The cheapest option is to go with the annual plan, which starts at 29.9 EUR per month for the “Basic” tier. That’s the monthly price if you pay for their service a year in advance. The price for this tier increases to 49 EUR if you decide to pay on a monthly rolling basis.

kwfinder pricing plans
There are three KWFinder pricing plans that can be purchased either on monthly or annual basis.

I think the “Basic” level will fit the needs of most people because the amount of tracked keywords and keyword searches is adequate. One thing I don’t like is the “Basic” package is a low number of keyword searches that are allowed, which is only 200 compared to Premium and Agency plan, where that limit is 700.

This limit makes it more difficult to find low competition keywords that have higher search volumes and lower difficulty scores. You can still find enough results by clicking from one keyword to another and continuously resorting your results. It just feels like the “Basic” package is somewhat limited in this aspect.

Paying several hundreds of dollars for a search engine optimization tool can be intimidating, especially if you’re a new blogger just starting to monetize your site. But it is way better than creating content without doing your research first.

Comparing the cost of the Mangools’ suite with other available “premium” options helps to put the pricing in perspective. Here’s the costs for some of the other popular tools. All pricing listed below is based on annual subscriptions:

  • AHREfs’ “Lite” package = $990/year
  • SEMRush’s “Pro” package = $999.36/year
  • Mangools’ “Basic” package = $358.80/year

Although this isn’t an exact “apples to apples” comparison, it does help you get some kind of picture. If your funds are limited, choosing the plan that’s less than half the cost of other similar solutions is a no-brainer.

Most of us expect excellent support from online products and services. However, that doesn’t always mean that you’ll get what you expect. Thankfully, KWFinder provides excellent support for its users with its live chat feature, and email while also having extensive documentation.

What Do You get in Mangools Suite of Tools With KWFinder?

As mentioned, you don’t get only KWFinder when you purchase one of Mangools pricing plans but also other tools:

1. Mangools SERPChecker

Mangools’ SERPChecker is part of their suite of products. It complements KWFinder perfectly. It gives you a broader view of the search results that you usually find in the KWFinder. It also provides more information and functions.

SERPChecker lets you perform a deeper dive into your keyword search results. It helps you find more advantages to stay ahead of competitors.

Look at the SERPWatcher dashboard.

The integration between Mangools tools is rather impressive. Although this is a standard feature for most keyword research tools, there are a few features that make SERPChecker stand out.

First, its layout is well organized. The data is straightforward to understand. Information is color-coded even more than what you’ll find in KWFinder. Most users should find that the SERPChecker does an excellent job of analyzing the SERP competition.

2. Mangools LinkMiner

None of us know exactly how Google’s algorithms organize search results. Still, most site owners agree that the number of sites that link to yours can have a significant impact on how your website performs in search engine result listings. This is where the LinkMiner tool comes into play.

It’s a good way to see who links to your site and your articles. You can also use this tool to see who links to your competitors. You may be able to recreate links if you’ve produced similar or, in some cases, better content.

3. Mangools SERPWatcher

SERPWatcher helps you track keywords. The tool can inform you when particular keyword search rankings have declined. This lets you know what to work on.

You can even receive email alerts. Overview information will appear in your inbox so you can be alerted on time. SERPWatcher is an invaluable tool for people who want to keep their target keywords updated regularly.

4. Mangools SiteProfiler

SiteProfiler is a lightweight tool, which gives you an overview of any site that you want to learn more about. It could be your site or a site that belongs to a competitor.

Just enter a URL of the site, and you’ll find information on:

  • Demographic information on the website’s visitors
  • Details on backlinks for the site
  • What is the most popular content on that site, according to social media shares and incoming links
  • Metrics such as “Trust Flow,” Alexa rank and information about the site’s Domain Authority
  • Information on the site’s competitors

KWFinder Review – Is KW Finder Right For You?

KWFinder is an invaluable resource for search engine optimization and keyword research. The tool delivers results consistently and quickly.

The different Mangools applications complement each other very well. Even though KWFinder stands out, the other apps are impressive enough on their own. It doesn’t seem like they’re forced or were rushed together.

Each application also links to each other seamlessly. This makes the tasks of researching keywords, analyzing SERPs, checking on backlinks, and other related functions much more efficient.

I love the fact that KWFinder is a web-based tool. Some applications just aren’t ideal for desktop use. In my opinion, keyword research falls into that category.

Because it’s a web-based application, you can use KWFinder on any computer that has an Internet connection. There’s no need to worry about compatibility issues.

Another advantage is that you don’t need to connect it to a personal Adwords account, or any other kind of account, for that matter. Everything works right away. Even though KWFinder gets its search volume data from Google’s Keyword Planner, it uses its own algorithm to show the search volumes and keyword difficulty for all keywords that you use.

KWFinder is a powerful tool, but it’s not a solution for everyone. If you’re a new blogger and are just starting out with search engine optimization and keyword research, this tool is fantastic.

It’s the most intuitive keyword research tool that I’ve ever used. Its platform allows anyone to start finding low competition, profitable keywords in just a few minutes.

The ability to find keyword difficulty scores in one click is an important selling point for many users. It may sound gimmicky, but it can definitely save people considerable time in selecting the right keywords for their business or niche.

If you use search engine optimization tools frequently or run a full-scale agency, KWFinder might not be enough for your needs because of the low limitations.
