Ever wondered how websites get those special rich snippets results in Google’s search results? The star ratings, business hours, images and all those extra goodies. In this Schema Pro review, you will find out how to easily add them.
As anyone will tell you, getting people’s attention is critical for people trying to create a robust online presence.
Whether you’re trying to let people know about a job offer, show off a recipe, or present a product for your business, you’re going to need to stand out from the crowd.
The first thing internet users see on Google search result pages is your website snippet. Since the snippet is the main bridge between your website and the people you want to invite into it, I suggest looking into the Schema PRO Plugin for WordPress.
Schema PRO Review
Schema markup is a tool that adds microdata to a webpage which generates a rich snippet in Google SERP. Schema.org is an organization involving Google, Bing, Yandex, and Yahoo, created to help search engines better understand your site’s content.
Purpose of this is that when somebody searches for something, they will get the most relevant results. Schema markups make your webpage much more appealing by including rich snippets under your website title.
A snippet with schema may include a publication date, star ratings, maybe a picture and a meta description. If you don’t give your meta description, Google will make one of its own, usually by taking a couple of lines from the page content. This is why the Schema PRO plugin for WordPress is critical for your website’s success.
Not only does your website need to show that it’s an authority on whatever subject you’re focusing on, but you need to make sure that search engines understand what your website offers.
So when users search for the sort of content you provide, Google can match their queries with your site. Rich snippets usually benefit everyone. They help you achieve higher rank, and they help Google determine relevance so that they can offer the best results.
With some of the new updates Google is installing, this is only going to increase in importance. These updates are designed to make sure that users receive higher quality results for their searches.
Therefore, Schema PRO will give your website the sort of microdata that shows quality so your site will rank much higher in organic searches.
It’s worth noting that search engines ultimately determine rich snippets, and all schema plugins can do is add lines of microdata to your site. However, this, combined with quality content and good authority will help tremendously.
Why Use Schema PRO As Your Schema Plugin For WordPress?
There are tons of WordPress plugins available and using the wrong one could sabotage you and make all of your efforts for nothing. The Schema PRO plugin is highly regarded, by me and by many others who use WordPress.
It’s great for people with little knowledge of programming and code as it lets you add data with minimal effort. All you have to do is choose the type of schema you want and then select which posts and pages that you want to add markup too. You can choose pages which you specifically want to be included or excluded.
While your website probably already has information, schema allows you to map existing content and add code to data fields like author, date, title, category, and image.
Schema Pro is a premium option from the same developer as the All In One Schema Rich Snippets plugin. It helps you add proper JSON-LD schema markup to your site. But it does it uniquely.
Most of the other plugins implement schema markup by adding new content, usually in the form of a review box or a box with other schema details.
Schema Pro skips that. Instead, you can add schema markup to your existing content. There’s no need to display an extra review box.
You do this by mapping your existing content and custom fields to the type of schema markup you want to add. Developers have created a simple interface that makes the process easy.
When you install the plugin, it gives you a helpful setup wizard to configure basic global schema for your site, like social profiles and breadcrumbs.
Then, to add schema markup for specific content, you first select what type of schema markup to add from the 13 different included schema types.
Then, you choose which content to target. You can either target all posts/pages/custom post types. Or, you can include/exclude specific pieces of content.
And once you’ve done that, you can easily map the various markup options to existing fields or custom fields using the drop-downs.
Schema PRO Plugin Markup Types
Schema PRO is a plugin for WordPress which allows you to make schema markups for your website in just a short period. This plugin comes with 13 different types of schema markups for whatever kind of SEO you need.

With Review Schema for WordPress, your SERP snippets will look exceptionally professional and can feature pictures, ratings, price options, and a brief description, all in addition to the link to the full review.
LOCAL BUSINESS SCHEMA – For making your local business look professional on the results pages, a business schema markup is a useful tool. This plugin will have your snippet show up on top of the Google results page for map searches, helping your business stand out from the rest.
This will help your business attract customers and increase your SEO.
ARTICLE SCHEMA – For writers, bloggers, authors, etc., this article schema feature is excellent for getting your work noticed. It features articles from websites relating to searches and shows specific pieces.
You can choose which blogs or articles you are okay with having highlighted on Google’s SERP.
SERVICE SCHEMA – If you provide services such as home improvement, car care, digital marketing, travel, etc., you can use the services schema markup to show additional information that gives people a clear idea about all you do and encourage them to hire you right away.

Schema PRO Plugin Features
The Schema PRO plugin is excellent for giving websites an attractive look. The aesthetics of your rich snippet is not only good for making your website seem classier and for catching people’s attention, but Google places more value to sites when it appears more likely to get clicks.
This means that Schema PRO can get you higher up on the SERP just by improving your website’s attractiveness.
With the Schema PRO plugin, your snippet can show ratings, costs, features and other pieces of relevant information instead of just the link and a short description.
Snippets made with Schema PRO can increase the number of organic clicks your website receives, showing Google that your site is credible. There’s also the option to let people vote as visitor rankings, though this can be disabled.
You can use schema snippets for any of your posts as it was designed to support all post types. You have the freedom to enable schema for any page as well.
Schema PRO fulfills all of Google’s rules and requirements with highly optimized, clean code, using JSON-LD technology.
This WordPress plugin enables you to make schema fields any way you need and supports custom fields. This can be extended with any details you want to show.
Schema PRO Pricing
Schema PRO is a highly affordable plugin that I feel is well worth the investment. Essentially there are two different pricing options. You can either purchase it for one year or get it for life.
You also have the opportunity to get the plugin in agency plan, which comes with Schema Pro, Astra pro addon (check differences between Astra free vs Astra pro), Astra starter sites, Convert Pro (check Convert Pro review), WP portfolio plugin, Ultimate Addons for Elementor plugin (see best addons for Elementor), Ultimate Addons for Beaver Builder plugin (see best Beaver Builder widgets), and all future plugins.
Schema Pro costs $79 for use on unlimited sites with one year of support/updates. You can also purchase a lifetime license for $249.
Schema PRO Alternatives
Here are some alternatives to Schema Pro if you would rather try some other schema plugin for WordPress.
WP REVIEW PRO
1. WP Review Pro is a plugin from MyThemeShop that’s geared almost entirely towards review sites. In addition to helping you get eye-catching rating star rich snippets it also offers features designed to help make it easier for you to write compelling reviews.
WP Review Pro adds proper schema markup to your ratings and provides some options for generating those star ratings in the first place.
If you’re just a solo reviewer, you can rate the product based on a few categories, set an overall rating, and leave it at that.
You can also allow your users to submit their ratings. Then, depending on your settings, you can include these ratings into the average number that displays in Google’s search results. There is a free version of WP Review available that still lets you create review boxes with proper schema markup.
WP PRODUCT REVIEW
2. WP Product Review is a review plugin from ThemeIsle that comes in both free and premium versions. While it’s pro version is a little more expensive, it also offers a few compelling features.
You can customize pretty much everything about the box’s design. And you can also choose from 10+ different icons to use for your ratings.
You’ll also be able to choose where the box displays. You can pick from standard options like above or below content, or do it manually with a shortcode.
And if you use the shortcode, you can use the plugin to display review boxes for multiple different products within a single post.
How Do You Know If Your Schema Markup Is Working?
Here’s the problem with schema markup. You can’t see it on the front-end of your site. Sure, you might be able to see your review box or star ratings. But that’s not the actual schema markup that search engines are looking at.
So how can you tell if the plugin you choose is correctly adding schema markup to your site so that you can get those rich snippets?
One way is to look at your site’s HTML source code. But a better approach is just to use a free tool from Google.
Google has a dedicated Structured Data Testing Tool where all you need to do is input a URL and Google will spit back whether or not your schema markup exists and if your schema markup is done properly.
Schema PRO Review Closing Thoughts
Hopefully, this schema markup guide clarified how you can use it and its importance. I think that whether you are a blogger, business owner, or anyone looking to develop a stronger online presence and increase their websites SEO, Schema PRO is the right plugin for you.
Providing good results for people without any programming skills is what Schema PRO is excellent for. All in all, if you want to add schema markup to WordPress without the need to include an extra content box, Schema Pro is a slick way to do it.

Just want to say thank you for this detailed list.
I just want some free schema plugin for articles and reviews (stars looks ok for me).
What are your thoughts on the free version of the Schema plugin from the Brainstorm Force team?
The free version comes with a nice amount of features. You can easily compare on their site what you get in the free version and what in pro. Based on that see which features you need and you will know which option is best for you.
Hi Kasa, thanks for your review. I think the useful feature of this plugin is automating schema task.
I wanted to ask, how does this plugin works with the Yoast SEO plugin? Do you have observations?
It works fine with Yoast. I have used those two in combination before and there was no issues.
Schema Pro is always best. Thanks for this awesome list. Hope we could also get a plugin with multiple tasks like Pro and Cons, Product Beautifications and all.
There are plugins with option for adding pros and cons sections like WP Review Lite.
Hi, nice article, makes a lot of sense.
I use schema pro as it works amazing on recipe posts. I run a multi subject lifestyle website so need article schema on the rest that are not recipes and most of content. I set up schema pro for posts to be article schema
in SD testing tool – 3 x article schema per post!
1 created by theme, in built
1 created by yoast, cannot turn off in plugin and doesn’t do recipe schema
1 created by schema pro
So now I have to decide:
keep schema pro for just the recipes posts (seems a waste for a selection of posts)
Yoast is valuable in more than schema but it is built in
Theme… change a theme just to remove an article schema markup out of 3? seems drastic
I don’t think there is need to remove anything. The schema will show only if you set it up. So If you set one schema for particular post using in built theme schema that one will show. You can use method for schema for each post as you like.
I am also using schema pro plugin but i am getting warning message as “missing field review (optional)” any idea, why i am getting this warning? I am using woocommerce website.
I’ve used a lot of tools like this with great luck. I’m just curious if you’ve had any negative results from using this?
Great Stuff! Looking forward to your response.
On which negative results are you referring to?
I know this is a wordpress plugin, but can you do schema on other website builders?
I didn’t quite understand. Can you elaborate?
I have been looking for a better Schema tool, all these free ones seem to have issues when updates happen.
How stable is Schema Pro when updates happen?
I need a reliable resource, you have my attention.
As fare as I am aware, if there are any issues after update, there are quickly fixed With Schema PRO.
thanks for reviewing this scheme pro plugin, i never knew there was no coding required, I plan to use it this week 🙂 do you suggest using it on local seo websites or affiliate or both?
If you have schema that can be used, you can use Schema plugin on any site.
Wan to buy this plugin for my website services we provide to have stars in serp results. Have some one tried this plugin?
Will google with latest updaters remove the ratings?
While Google ultimately decides on which sites it will show schema based on its algorithm, the plugin itself will do its job.
Have you ever had any negative effects (SEO) from using this?
Always afraid I’m going to activate one of these and it’s going to kill my rankings somehow, lol.
You can never be sure, but I have not heard about any negative effects of using schema if done right.
My website gets a notice from Google Search Console after activating this plugin, (This site may be hacked – Because it’s trying to spam user on the google search result). This plugin also destroys the sitemap that I install on robot.txt file, all the sitemap missing and couldn’t be found. Really disappointed. I deactivate & delete the schema pro plugin, but I cannot get back the sitemap, the google rich snippet also destroy. Yoast doesn’t work at all. I need to reinstall the WordPress and do it from the beginning.
I don’t think that issue is because of Schema Pro plugin.
I agree they are good, but they need to add howto and FAQ schema to be the best..
Schema Pro is a plugin that is currently so important in SEO. Because with this plugin the site that I will optimize has complete structured data. So that Google will more easily identify my site and will automatically be easy to go up on page one. From this plugin I can also present rich snippets in the form of star rates which are very useful for inviting keyword seekers to click or improve Click Through Rate performance.
Can I use Schema & Structured Data for WP and Schema Pro together? I installed the two plugins and my post not shown on google search
I’ve bought this plugin.
It’s not working as expected with woocommerce, too many issues during structured data test and no possibilities to remove buil-in woocommerce schema so 2 products appear during the test.
the support team also is not really helpful.
I own the plugin. The lack of howto and FAQ schema is not okay. Basics.
I agree. I also own it. The plugin is very simple so documentation is not exactly needed but still it would be nice.
schema pro is best , very lite, full, good price
thanks for this detail
I am using schema pro for person,
But the results shown on google are not like the demo 🙁
Who has experience please share to me!
What kind of results are you getting? I want to see. Can you please share.
Hi there, thanks for that article …
How do you setup schema for “woocommerce category” – it is NOT possible – or am I blind?
You can only choose “all singulars” from one category but not the category itself!
It is best that you contact Schema support and ask if you have any issues or plugin related questions.
Looks like you are still using this plugin. The google markup tool says this page has errors and Schema pro hasn’t made changes required with new google update (it is missing required fields like “name” field for reviews).
It is best that you contact their support and ask about the issue.
After latest Google update the review type is unsupported. My stars disappeared from rich snippets.
Is there a valid workaround. Is it OK to change to the Product type of mark up if I review Amazon products?
Are you using Schema PRO plugin?
Yeah, I use Schema Pro. I wrote them and they told me they’re working on an update…
I hope they will soon release that update then. Feel free to keep me posted. It might also help other readers.
This is all nice, but what plugins are compatible with the new Google update?
You can always ask plugin author if there are any problems with recent changes from Google and plugin.
I have bought this plugin … and it is unusable.
They don’t have a FAQ section, have no snippet preview, so you can’t actually see what you’re doing and how a certain change affects the outcome.
They have this free tool (based on different code) which is very easy to work with, with this schema pro abomination you have a lot of “New Custom Fields” entries.
Their documentation is horrible as it all points to JSON related Google articles and their testing tools are Google Tools as well … if I wanted to program JSON myself I wouldn’t need a plugin now would I?
Also the fact that there is no visual make up options is a bit strange … If I take the example of the job application in this article, it would look a lot nicer if you could have thumbnails below your main link and meta descriptions … or even text blocks with a title and an excerpt.
Because what it is now can be accomplished by adding a good meta description to your job page through whatever SEO plugin you might be using and you get the same or even better results
Just want to say thank you for this detailed list.
I just want some free schema plugin for articles and reviews (stars looks ok for me).
