2. The Nexus
It’s not always easy to predict what products will sell well. You can use the Nexus product research section to filter and sort trending or hot products. The Nexus tab is separated into Hot Products, Trending Products, On The Rise, New Products, All Products, Hot Stores, and Trending Stores.
The Nexus is more than just a popular product locator. It’s the primary product research resource that Sell The Trend offers. The Nexus shows an incredible amount of information about items that are currently trending across multiple online websites.
Here you’ll find data on individual products, such as:
- The number of AliExpress and Shopify stores that are already selling that item.
- The selling price, cost, and profit margin for each product.
- How many orders you’ve had for that product during the current month.
- When an item was initially added to a Shopify store.
- A link will bring you to a timeline where every Shopify store that has added the specific item will be displayed.
- You can also see the last time a particular product was added to a Shopify store.
Unfortunately, not every product in an online store is going to have a lot of sales. The real trends chart shows all orders that were made for a particular product. You can use this data to determine whether or not an item is popular or trending.
You’ll see information such as the actual number of orders for certain items made over the last few months. The quantities that were sold are daily totals, not a calculated estimate. The higher order amounts are, the more drop shippers sell that particular product.
You’ll receive a list of the countries buying that item the most and a link to the top Shopify stores that sell the product. The link lets you view these stores and examine their setup. You can also find out what other items these stores are actively selling. Another useful feature is suggestions for what and who to target if you are running any Facebook ads.
You can gain additional insight into which items to add to your store by checking where particular products are featured on YouTube or advertised on Facebook.
You can even search to find similar products on Amazon and learn what those items are currently selling for. This information is particularly helpful because you’ll know what items are selling well and their retail prices.
It’s a good idea to avoid selling items that already have many similar variants currently selling. Make sure to check sale prices as well, so that you don’t end up promoting products that don’t yield much profit. You could price your items higher, but there will always be customers who will search until they find the best deal.
There are some impressive filters that you can use to refine product searches. There are too many choices to include in this article, but here are some of the most used options: Category, Niche, Price, Orders, Product has a video, Product is shipped from within the USA, Countries with the most sales.
While Hot Products, Trending Products, On The Rise, New Products, All Products tabs are for finding winning products, the Hot Stores and Trending Stores will show you various stores and their trending products.
Like with products, you can sort stores, filter stores, and select stores from particula category. Very useful feature here is Store Intelligence that lets you spy other stores. It will provide you with data such as product prices, monthly revenue, orders, amount of traffic, top-selling items, etc.
Explorers tab is separated into AliExpress, Amazon, Shopify Products, and Shopify Stores. This feature provides information that’s somewhat similar to your Nexus results. You’ll get a list of the top trending products on Amazon, AliExpress, and certain Shopify sites.
Plenty of online stores already dropship. You can take advantage of that. Visit the AliExpress, Shopify, and Amazon websites to find their top-selling products. Sell The Trend’s Amazon, Shopify, or AliExpress Explorers let you find popular products quickly.
There’s a lot of helpful data on these trending items. Search results can be refined using any filter choices, which are the same as those on Nexus. There is alos option to find New Stars, Hot Products, and Hidde Gems.
You can use that information in combination with the aggregate trending product data from the Nexus Research Machine to find the best items that will make the most money for your online dropshipping business.
You can use Sell The Trend’s Shopify Store Explorer to review the products sold on the most successful dropshipping stores internationally.

5. Additional Tools
Under the Tools tab, you can find even more handy tools like Store Intelligence, Audience Builder, Video Creator, Engagement Calculator, and Discovery Machine.
Store Intelligence is a handy resource that lets you spy other Shopify stores. The stores don’t necessarily need to be in Sell The Trend’s database.
You’ll find out the average product prices, monthly revenue, orders, and the amount of traffic that these sites receive. You’ll also receive a list of the top-selling items from the store. This information will give you a valuable advantage.
Facebook Audience Builder
Facebook Audience Builder shows you audiences that are currently popular. Clicking on any one of them provides additional data. This information can then be used to create and display Facebook ads for the target audience.
This tool allows you to create your own product videos. A few simple mouse clicks are all it takes. You don’t need to worry about finding narrations, photos, or any other content. Just enter a specific product’s URL, and information is then automatically pulled for that item.
You’re in complete control of each video. You can add text, select desired images, determine how long each image will be shown on screen, change color style and even add music. You can then download video after edits are complete.
Engagement Rating Calculator
Another way to increase sales is by having Instagram influencers market your products to their followers. This is one of the most popular e-Commerce tactics. The Engagement Rating Calculator helps you determine which influencers to reach to and which ones to avoid on Instagram and Twitter.

There is a blog that’s updated regularly. Some of the blog’s content can be very beneficial. I recommend reading their “Winning Product Fridays” posts. New products are featured every Friday that could become potentially best sellers.
