As such, bloggers and website owners need to leverage all the tools they can find to improve their search rankings.

There are thousands of WordPress SEO plugins to choose from. Each provides a unique way to optimize your website. All you need to do once your plugin is up and running is to post and promote high-quality content regularly. Below are 12 plugins you can use to optimize your website for better search results.

WordPress SEO Plugins For Your Site

Here are some excellent plugin choices to install on your WordPress site. Be noted that you don’t need each of them.

Yoast SEO

Yoast SEO is one of the most popular WordPress plugins for SEO with thousands of good reviews thanks to an array of powerful features. Users get internal linking suggestions, focus keyword reports, page and content analysis, XML sitemaps, a redirect manager, etc.

The page analysis feature evaluates your content length, focus keywords and density, meta description, URLs, readability, alt attributes, title tags, outbound links, among others. You’re able to check everything before publishing your content. Yoast can tell you when something is wrong so that you can tweak it.

Other good SEO plugins are Rank Math (see Rank Math review), SEOPress (check SEOPress review), All In One SEO Pack, SEOPressor Connect (see SEOPressor review), etc. I have compared Yoast vs All In One SEO vs Premium SEO Pack so check that if you want to see what differences are between them.

Some of its features include the ability to detect links that don’t work; the ability to find links in pages, posts, and custom fields; the ability to give suggestions for broken links; and the ability to block search engines from directing visitors to problematic links. Media File Renamer is a plugin built to perform file renaming for website owners automatically. It renames media files depending on the image titles. When a file is renamed, all posts, custom types, pages, and metadata that reference to it are also updated. The pro version allows users to do manual renaming together with a few other tasks.

  1. I’m currently using the Rank Math plugin. In the first table, it identifies that this plugin can track keyword rankings. However, I couldn’t find this feature on both the Settings page and the post editing screen. Am I missing something? Can you show me how to track the keyword rankings?

    1. Hi Suzie,

The Rank Tracker feature is not out yet, but it will be soon. If you hover over that part on RankMath in pricing table, you will see tooltip that says: Coming soon.
