Installing The Plugin

The installation looks easy if you use the direct installation in WordPress. Just open the plugin page and click the “Add New” button. Now search for a plugin called “Video Conferencing with Zoom.” Then click on “Install” and activate the plugin.

Integrate WordPress With Zoom

To integrate Zoom with WordPress, you need to obtain Zoom API. To launch the Zoom application in your WordPress, you will need API keys generated in the Zoom application. You will need an API key and an API secret key.

To generate these keys, open the “Zoom Marketplace” page in your browser. Once you reach the marketplace, log in with your Zoom login ID.

 

 

Now click on “Develop” and then click on “Build App.” Then select “JWT” from the list and click on the “Create” button. Enter a name for the JWT and click on the “Create” button.

Then enter the basic information required for the Zoom application. Once you complete the basic information, you get the keys generated under the “App Credentials” section.

Switch to WordPress, click on “Zoom Meeting,” which directly takes you to the settings page. Now paste all the API keys.

 

 

Click the “Save Changes” button and click the “Check API Connection” button to test the connection.

 

 

Once the API key is entered and the connection succeeds, you will get the detailed options under the “Zoom Meeting” option. It shows the successful connection made between the Zoom API and your WordPress site.

 

 

Switch back to the Zoom app, click on the Manage option, and you will see the apps activated. This shows the connectivity between WordPress and Zoom API is established.

 

Use Zoom For WordPress

You can now manage all Zoom-related work through your WordPress website if you have completed all the steps. Now we can add Zoom meetings through the backend.

 

Adding Zoom Meetings

To start a zoom meeting, click on the “Zoom Meeting” option on your WordPress site dashboard and click on the “Add Live Meeting” option. Now the list of options to add live Zoom meetings will be displayed.

 

 

Enter the meeting name, Meeting Agenda, Meeting Host, start date, duration, and the meeting password. Enter the information required to create a meeting. Finally, click the “Create Meeting” button.

 

View Zoom Meetings

To view all Zoom meetings added to your website, use the “Live Meeting” option. To fetch the details of the zoom meeting, you need to select the hostname.

 

 

Now you will get the list of zoom meetings scheduled with the shortcode. Using the shortcode, you can add the zoom meeting details to your viewers easily.

 

Display Lve Meetings Using Shortcode

Using the shortcode generated, you can display the Zoom meeting details to your viewers in the frontend. Just copy the shortcode generated for the meeting. Paste the shortcode into the page or post.

 

Adding Zoom Webinars

More or less, you have the same options to enable webinars. To add webinars, click on the “Add New” button in the Zoom Meeting link. It directly takes you to enter the meeting and webinars details in the meeting type option.

 

 

Webinars are mainly applied for view-only attendees, and you can share your screen, audio, and video for some selected participants. You can connect 50 thousand participants at a time, but the count will be based on your plan. The plan starts from connecting 500 participants initially. The webinar will be helpful for educational institutions and meetings.
